Rammani Ramachal Vishwakarma Junior High School

Down in Haliya, specifically in the Vishwakarma Nagar area, you’ll find our school. It is quite a long name, Rammani Ramachal Vishwakarma Junior High School, but everyone around Suiya Kala and Mawai Kala knows exactly where it is. We are located near the Po Bedour area of Mirzapur. It’s a rural spot, so the surroundings are mostly fields and small houses. The school itself is a humble building. We have the junior high classes here, which means we see the kids as they are growing up and getting ready for the bigger schools later on. The classrooms are basic. We have a few windows that let in the breeze, which is nice when the weather isn't too harsh. Mirzapur can be quite a tough place in the peak of summer, but we manage with what we have. There is a small area out front where the students gather for the morning assembly and for their breaks. It’s not a paved playground, just flat earth where they run around. We don't have a big staff, just a handful of us who live nearby and walk or ride over every morning. We know the parents well because they are our neighbors. Life moves a bit slower here than it does in the city, and we are fine with that. We don't have a website or a big sign, just our name on the wall and a gate that stays open for the community.
