K. B. Postgraduate College

We've been here in Musaffarganj for a long time. People around Mirzapur know the K. B. Postgraduate College building pretty well. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular spot where students come every morning to get their degrees. You see them hanging around the gates or rushing to catch a rickshaw after classes are done for the day. We deal with all sorts of subjects here, mostly the usual stuff people need for their futures. The hallways are usually noisy between periods, and there's always someone looking for a specific office or a teacher. It gets quite hot in the summers, but we manage. Most of us who work here have been around for years, so we know the local families pretty well. It’s a busy place, especially when exams are coming up or when new admissions start in the monsoon season. We don't have those big flashy banners you see in the city. It’s just a solid brick building where learning happens day in and day out. Sometimes the power goes out, or the fans squeak, but that’s just how things are in this part of town. We try to keep things organized, even if the paperwork piles up on the desks. It’s a community thing, really. People from all over the district come through these doors. We just keep the lights on and the classrooms open for whoever wants to study. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us all going.
