Mumbadevi Granite & Marbles

Mumbadevi Granite & Marbles is situated right near Shivar Garden, which is a pretty well-known spot around here. We are on VB Road, specifically right next to the Reliance Petrol Pump. It’s a convenient location because everyone knows the petrol pump, so giving directions is easy for us. The yard is usually full of different types of granite and marble slabs. We spend most of our mornings just organizing things and making sure the stacks are safe. It’s a lot of heavy lifting. My brother and I started this because we knew the stone business a bit, and we’ve just stayed here since then. The noise from the road is constant, but you get used to it after a week or two. We don't have a big marketing team or anything, it's just us and a couple of helpers. Most of our customers are locals who are doing some renovation work at home. They come in, walk around the slabs, touch the surfaces, and we chat about what might look good. It's simple work but it's honest. Sometimes we have tea while waiting for the next truck to arrive. The slabs come in different sizes, so there is always a lot of measuring going on with old tape measures that have seen better days. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the yard stays somewhat organized despite the mess. It's just a regular local business.
