Umiya Traders

We are located over in Phase-2 of the GIDC industrial area in Dediyasan. Our shop is number 281 and it is right near the road that heads toward Modhera. Being in an industrial zone means there are always big trucks moving around and a lot of noise from the factories nearby. We trade in different kinds of hardware and industrial goods that the local shops and workshops need. It is a big metal building and it gets quite hot during the summer months when the sun beats down on the roof. We have a small fan behind the counter that doesn't do much but we keep it running anyway. The floor is concrete and usually has some scuff marks from moving heavy crates around. We don't have a lot of walk-in customers because we mostly deal with other businesses in the area. Most of our day is spent on the phone or checking the inventory lists against what we have in the back. When a delivery truck arrives we have to clear a space on the floor which is always a bit of a struggle. It is not a glamorous job but we have been doing it for years and it works for us. We keep some tea supplies in the back for when friends from other shops stop by. The office part is just a wooden table with a computer that is a bit slow and dusty. We just stay focused on getting the orders out on time.
