Delta Industries

Down in Nani Kadi, inside the Rathi Industrial Estate, you will find Delta Industries. We are at Plot No. 10/B, right near where the Vidja Oil Mills are. If the wind is blowing the right way, you can smell the oil from the mills all day long. Our place isn't anything fancy to look at. It’s just a standard industrial shed where we get our work done. We do a lot of small-scale manufacturing and processing here. It is mostly about keeping the machines running and making sure the parts we produce are what the people asked for. The Taluka of Kadi is a busy place for industry, so there is always some noise and trucks moving around. We have a small crew of workers who have been with us for years. We don't have a big corporate structure or anything like that. I’m usually on the floor with everyone else, checking the machines or helping load a truck. The floors are concrete and usually have a bit of oil or dust on them, but that’s just a factory for you. We don't spend time on big presentations or long-term strategies. We just look at what orders we have for the week and try to get them finished on time. It’s a practical way to live. We’ve been in this estate for a while and we know most of the other shop owners nearby. We just do our work and then we go home to our families.
