We are at Shed No. 230 in the GIDC Estate, Phase-I, right near Modhera Char Rasta. It’s a busy spot with trucks and people always moving about. We open up the shutters every morning and start the day with some tea. The shed is where we spend most of our time. It’s not air-conditioned or anything fancy, so it gets pretty warm in the summer months. We just focus on getting the work done. We aren’t big talkers here. Most of us just keep our heads down and handle the tasks as they come in. Sometimes the equipment acts up, but we’ve been doing this long enough to know how to fix things on the fly. The floor gets dusty and the noise from the char rasta is constant, but you get used to it. People drop by looking for parts or just to ask if we can help with something. We do our best to be helpful. It’s a small operation and we like it that way. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just want to do the job right and keep the business running. We’ve been in this shed for a good while now and know all the neighbors. It’s a simple life, focused on practical things. We aren't trying to change the world, just making sure the daily orders are handled. If you come by, you’ll see us just working away in the middle of all the estate noise.
