Our facility is out at S. No. 26 in the Hansapur area, specifically on the Sidhpur Road in the Patan taluka of Mehsana district. It is a bit of a rural setting compared to the big cities, which suits us just fine. Flurochem Industries operates out of a fairly large building that sits among some fields. The air is a bit clearer here, though the road can get muddy when the monsoon hits. We spend our days managing the production lines and checking the chemical vats. It is not glamorous work, and the smell of the process stays on your clothes long after you leave. Most of our workers come from the nearby villages around Patan, so there is a lot of local talk in the canteen during lunch. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals pinned to the walls. We just have a schedule of what needs to be produced and we try to stick to it. The machinery is loud, so we have to shout a bit to be heard sometimes. Sidhpur Road is usually quiet except for the occasional tractor or truck passing by. We like the pace of things here. It is steady and keeps everyone busy without the frantic energy of a city office. Sometimes we have to wait a few days for spare parts to arrive from Mehsana, but we always find something else to do in the meantime.
