Ghanshyam Plastic World

If you look for Ghanshyam Plastic World, you’ll find us in the Classic Capital Basement. We are right across from the Ashray Hotel on Prashant Cinema Road. Being in a basement means we don't get as much natural light as the shops upstairs, but it stays a bit cooler down here which is a nice relief in the summer months. We have walls of plastic containers, buckets, stools, and all sorts of household things. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we get a big shipment in, and we have to stack things all the way to the ceiling sometimes. People usually come down the stairs looking for something specific like a laundry basket or a set of lunch boxes for their kids. We try to keep things where people can see them, but it’s a lot of plastic to manage every day. Prashant Cinema Road is a busy stretch, so there's always something happening outside. Sometimes people pop in just to escape the heat or the noise for a minute. I’ve been working here for a good while now, and I know where every single item is, even if it looks like a bit of a mess to someone else. It's just a regular plastic shop serving the local folks who live or work nearby. We don't have fancy displays or anything, just rows and rows of colorful plastic goods. It’s practical work, and we stay busy enough just keeping up with the daily walk-ins.
