We are located at Plot No. 2, 80, out on the Mehsana Highway in Jagudan. It is a big space because the machinery we handle isn't small. You can see the yard from the road when you’re driving past. The sun can get really hot out here, especially in the middle of the afternoon. We spend a lot of time outside or in the large sheds where we keep the equipment. There is always the sound of engines or something being moved around. It’s a gritty job and our clothes usually show it by the end of the shift. We are just a group of people who know about road machines and how they are put together. It’s not a polished office job; we deal with heavy steel and big tires every day. The highway is always busy with trucks, so there is a constant hum of traffic in the background. We eat our lunch in the small break room and talk about whatever needs to be done next. There is no corporate ladder here, just people doing their jobs. Some days are long, especially when we have a lot of arrivals at the gate. We’ve been in Jagudan for a bit now and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the place. It’s honest, heavy work that keeps us on our feet. We just focus on the machines and getting through the daily list.
