Trilok Kastala & Party

Our group is based out of Kastala in the Shamsher Nagar area of Meerut Cantt. We call ourselves a "party" because that’s the local way of saying we are a group that performs together. It’s not a big business with a bunch of managers. It’s just us, a group of musicians and performers who live right here in the Cantt. We have a small place where we keep our instruments and practice when we have the time. Most of our work comes from local families who want some live music for a wedding or a small celebration. Being in Shamsher Nagar, we are quite close to the heart of Meerut, so we can get to most places fairly easily. We don't have a big fancy van, just a couple of scooters and an old car to move our stuff around. We’ve been playing together for a long time, so we know each other's styles well. We don't use any high-tech equipment, just the basic stuff that sounds good in a local hall. People like us because we are from the same neighborhood and we don't charge like the big city bands do. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. If you’re walking through Kastala, you might hear us practicing some old songs. We aren't looking for fame, just a way to keep the music going in our community. We just show up and play our hearts out.
