Shivani Musical Group

Our base is at house number 851/2 in Shastri Nagar, Meerut. It’s more of a local neighborhood setting than a business district, which suits us just fine. Being in a residential area means we know our neighbors and they know us. We usually have some instruments lying around the front room and there is always someone practicing something. It is not a formal office by any means. It feels more like a home that has been taken over by musical gear and equipment. We have lived and worked in Shastri Nagar for a long time. It’s a quiet enough area until we start playing. We don’t really do any big marketing or anything like that. Most people hear about us through word of mouth or just by living nearby. We spend our days organizing the group and making sure everyone knows where they need to be for the next show. There is a lot of coordination involved that people don’t see from the outside. We aren't trying to be the biggest group around, we just want to keep playing and stay active in the local community. It’s a bit messy and loud sometimes, but that’s just how it goes when you live and work in the same space. We just take things one day at a time and keep the music going. It keeps us busy and we enjoy the routine of it. Most evenings you'll find us packing up the gear for a night show.
