Rakesh Mohan Gupta

My name is Rakesh Mohan Gupta and I have my workspace at Sadar Chowk in the Dholki Mohalla area of Meerut. This part of the city is very old and it’s always full of life, which I really enjoy. There’s a certain energy in Sadar Chowk that you don’t get in the newer parts of town. My family has been around this area for a long time, so I have deep roots here. The office is located in one of the older buildings and it has a very traditional feel to it. It’s not a place with air conditioning or modern glass partitions; it’s just a solid, old-fashioned office where real work happens. I spend most of my time meeting with people from the community who need assistance with their daily business matters. I prefer to do things the old way, with face-to-face conversations and handwritten notes when possible. It feels more personal that way. The streets outside can be very noisy with all the vendors and traffic, but it’s just something you get used to. People know they can just walk in and I’ll help them if I’m not already busy with someone else. I don't have a mission statement or any corporate slogans. I just show up, do the work, and try to be fair to everyone. It’s a simple way of living and it has worked for me for many years now. I like the people who live and work here.
