Our office is located at A/4 Shiv Shakti Nagar in Meerut. The pin code is 250002. It’s a decent area, mostly quiet which is good for the kind of work we do at Icici Direct.Com. We handle a lot of financial stuff and online trading things. It requires a lot of concentration, so being in Shiv Shakti Nagar helps since it’s not right in the middle of a noisy market. The office is pretty basic. We have our computers and our phones, and that’s about it. We start the day by checking what happened overnight and then we just get into the routine. There are only a few of us here, so we all know each other’s business. It’s a friendly atmosphere. We don't really do the whole formal corporate thing with meetings every hour. We just talk across the room if something needs to be discussed. Meerut is a good place to live and work. It’s not as crazy as Delhi, but it’s still got everything you need. We usually head out for a break in the afternoon to get some fresh air. The street outside is mostly residential, so you see kids playing or people walking their dogs. It feels more like a home than an office sometimes. We just focus on getting the work done right and making sure we don't make any mistakes with the accounts. It’s a steady job and we like it.
