Avinash Pratap Singh

I am Avinash Pratap Singh and I work out of the Shiv Medical Store which is right on the Main Road in Fitkari, Mawana. It’s a well-known spot in this part of Meerut. The store has been there for years, and I have my space inside where I see people. Being on the main road means we get a lot of trucks and tractors passing by, especially during the sugar cane season since Mawana is known for its mills. The dust and noise are just part of the daily life here. It’s a practical setup—the medical store is in the front and I’m usually in the back or at a side desk. People come in for their tablets and then stop to talk to me about whatever is bothering them. It’s very convenient for them to have everything in one place. We don't have any formal receptionists or waiting numbers. People just wait their turn near the counter. The atmosphere is very casual. We talk about the crops, the weather, and the local news while we work. Meerut can get quite busy, but Fitkari feels a bit more grounded. I’ve grown used to the rhythm of the traffic outside. It’s not a polished medical office with white carpets, but it’s honest work. We stay until the store closes for the night, making sure anyone who needs help gets it before they head home to their villages after work.
