Amit Singh Chawla

My name is Amit Singh Chawla and my office is located at 8, Patel Puri in the Sadar Bazar area of Meerut. Being in Sadar Bazar means I am right in the middle of all the noise and excitement of the city’s main market. Patel Puri is a little bit tucked away, which is nice, but you can still hear the hum of the bazaar all day long. I’ve been working from this spot for several years and I’ve seen the market change quite a bit in that time. My office is a simple place with a few chairs and a lot of cabinets for all the files I keep. I don't like wasting money on expensive decorations or things that don't help me do my job better. People come to me when they need things sorted out, and I just get to work. I don't have a receptionist, so I usually just answer the door myself. It’s a very direct way of doing things and it keeps the costs down for everyone. I have a lot of regular clients who have been coming to me since I first started out. We often end up drinking a cup of tea and talking about how the city is changing before we actually start talking about work. I like that personal touch. It makes the day go by faster. I’m usually here every day except for Sundays, just keeping things moving along.
