We are located at 4/74 in Shradhapuri Phase 1, which is right by the petrol pump in the Cantt area. 9 Square Architects And Interiors is basically a small team of us who enjoy the process of building and decorating. Being near the petrol pump makes it easy to give directions to people who aren't from this side of town. The office is pretty relaxed. We have our drawing boards and a lot of material samples scattered around. We do both the structural side and the interior work. It’s nice because we get to see a project through from the first brick to the final coat of paint. Meerut has a specific style, but we see more people wanting modern touches these days. We try to balance that. It’s not about being the biggest firm in the city; it’s just about doing decent work that we can stand by. We spend a lot of time out at sites, so the office is sometimes empty during the middle of the day. We’ve been here for a bit, and we’ve gotten to know the local suppliers and craftsmen quite well. It makes the work go smoother when you know who to call for what. We just take things as they come and try to be helpful to anyone who walks through the door. It’s a good way to make a living and stay involved with the community.
