The workshop is located in Shed No 2-60/2 over in Kandlakoya village. Being out here in the Medchal Mandal area gives us enough space to actually get some work done without being cramped. P+m Tool Crafts is basically where I spend all my time. If I am not working on a specific piece, I am probably cleaning the machines or trying to organize the scrap. It gets pretty loud inside the shed once the tools start running, so we usually have to shout to hear each other. It is dusty work and your hands are almost always dirty by ten in the morning. People from the surrounding villages know we are here if they have something that needs fixing or if they need a specific part made. We do not have a front desk or a receptionist. You just walk into the shed and look for someone who is not wearing earplugs. Kandlakoya has changed a lot lately with the highway nearby, but our little corner remains focused on the craft. We do not use fancy computers for everything; a lot of it is still done by eye and by hand because that is how we learned. Sometimes a job takes a bit longer than we thought it would, but we do not like to rush things if it means the quality will drop. It is just a small team of us trying to make a living with our hands.
