S R Junior College

We've been here in Dubbak for a while now, right at 6-1-5 in Mettugadda. It’s just a regular junior college where students from around Medak come to finish their intermediate years. Most days are pretty much the same. You see kids rushing in with their bags early in the morning when the sun is still low. We have the usual classrooms and benches, nothing too fancy, just what’s needed for lessons. The building sits on a bit of a busy corner but everyone knows where it is. We deal with the typical stuff like exam forms and marking attendance every single day. Sometimes the power goes out and we just open the windows to let the air in. It gets loud during the breaks when everyone is out in the halls talking at once. Parents come by sometimes to ask how their kids are doing in their classes. It’s not a huge place but it keeps us busy from morning till the afternoon bell rings. We just try to keep things running smooth so the students can get their certificates and move on to whatever they want to do next. It’s a lot of paperwork and making sure the syllabus gets finished on time before the final exams start in March. That's pretty much what life is like here at S R Junior College. There are no big frills, just the daily routine of helping teenagers get through their two years of college before they head off to do something else.
