Our place is out at Plot No 13 in Phase IV of Ida Pashamylaram. It’s an industrial area, so there isn’t much else around besides factories and warehouses. We do metal forming here. The shed is quite large and we have various machines lined up for the different stages of the process. It’s usually loud once everything is running. Pashamylaram is a bit of a trek from the main city, so most of us are used to the commute. We spend the day checking specs and making sure the metal is being shaped right. There’s a lot of dust and the smell of industrial oil in the air. We’ve been operating from this plot for some time now. The office part is just a small corner partitioned off from the main floor. We keep the records and drawings there. It’s a no-nonsense kind of setup. We don't have fancy furniture or decor. The focus is always on the production line. During lunch, we usually sit together and eat what we brought from home. It’s a routine that works for us. The weather out here gets pretty intense, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. Dealing with metal is heavy work, but we’re a steady crew. We just do what needs to be done every day at Metalkraft Forming Industries. The trucks come and go all day, picking up finished parts and dropping off new materials for us to form. It is a long day but we get through it together.
