Swarna Latha Fabrication Works is based in the BHEL Township over in Rc. Puram. Our spot is Q. No - 115-6/E. It is an industrial kind of area, so there is always the sound of welding and metal hitting metal around here. We handle all sorts of fabrication jobs, mostly small things for people's houses or local shops. We have got some welding machines, cutters, and a lot of scrap metal lying around the yard. It gets pretty hot when we are working, especially under the tin roof. We don't wear suits or sit in air-conditioned rooms. Our hands are usually covered in grease or soot. It is a tough job, but someone has to do it. We’ve been in this part of Rc. Puram for some time now. People know that if they need a gate fixed or some grills made, they can come to us. We don't have a polished showroom. You just see the work happening right there on the floor. Sometimes the orders pile up and we have to work on Sundays to catch up. We don't use any fancy software to design things; we mostly just draw it out on a piece of paper or on the floor with chalk. It’s a simple operation run by a few local guys.
