Our place, Murliwala Hotel and Restaurant Private Limited, is situated right in the Mohalla Raman Reti area of Vrindavan. If you know the Mathura-281121 part of Uttar Pradesh, you know it gets incredibly crowded with people coming to visit the temples. We have been here for a good while, managing both the rooms and the kitchen. It is a lot of work to keep a restaurant running alongside a hotel, but we manage somehow. Usually, the mornings are the busiest because everyone wants breakfast at the same time before they head out. We aren't some massive company with a board of directors; it’s mostly just a few of us making sure the vegetables are fresh and the beds are made. We deal with all sorts of people, from local travelers to those coming from far away. The streets around Raman Reti are always narrow and full of life, which keeps things interesting for us. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most people just walk in or hear about us from someone else. We spend our days dealing with suppliers, fixing leaky taps, and making sure the kitchen staff has what they need. It’s a straightforward life. We don't have a big mission statement or anything like that. We just want to make sure the food tastes okay and people have a place to sleep when the town is full.
