If you walk down Masani Road toward Deeg Gate, you’ll find us at 4/349. We’ve been running this place for a good bit now. Most days start pretty early because the street gets busy with people heading toward the gate. We keep the lobby clean, though the floor tiles show some wear from all the bags dragging across them over the years. My nephew helps out at the desk during the day while I handle the paperwork in the back office. It’s not a huge building, just a regular spot for folks who need a bed for the night. Sometimes the water pressure in the pipes acts up, but we usually get it sorted before anyone notices much. The rooms are just rooms, nothing too fancy, with curtains that we try to keep dust-free despite the road outside. We have a few chairs out front where we sit when things are quiet in the afternoon. People stop by asking for directions quite a lot since we’re right on the main path. The sign out front has a flicker in the 'S' that I need to call the electrician for one of these days. Mostly, it is just us working here, making sure the linens are changed and the keys are where they should be. It gets a bit hot in the summer months, so we keep the fans going constantly. It isn't a complicated operation, just a local business on a busy street.
