Jain Cyber

Jain Cyber is down at Sawami Ghat. If you know the area, it's right where all the local activity happens near the water. We have been running this place for some time now. It’s mostly about helping people with internet stuff, printing out papers, or filling in forms that they can’t do at home. The space isn’t very large, but we have enough chairs for people to sit while they wait. Being at Sawami Ghat means we get a lot of different people coming through. Some are just passing by, others live right around the corner. We keep the computers running as much as the power allows. Sometimes the internet is fast, sometimes it’s a bit slow, but we deal with it. It’s a basic setup. We don't have flashy signs or anything like that. People just know we are here when they need a scan or a quick print. It’s a bit humid near the ghat sometimes, especially in the rainy season. We try to keep the machines clean from the dust. Usually, it’s just one or two of us working here at a time. We don't do anything fancy, just the normal cyber cafe things that help people get their work done. It’s a quiet life mostly, except when the ghat gets crowded for festivals or special days. We like being part of the local scene here at Sawami Ghat and we keep the business running every day for the people who need us.
