Vastukendra Architecture

Vastukendra Architecture sits on the second floor of the City Mall Building. It’s right on Malappuram Road, so there is always something going on outside the windows with the cars and people. To get to us, you have to head up the stairs or take the lift in the mall. Being in 676505, we are right in the middle of a lot of activity. The office itself is mostly full of blueprints and computer screens. We spend most of the daylight hours working on various building designs. It’s a functional space, not meant for showing off to visitors. We have our tea mugs on the desks and stacks of paper everywhere you look. Malappuram Road can get quite noisy during the rush hours, but inside the City Mall Building, it’s a bit more focused and quiet. We don't have a grand philosophy or anything like that. We just take the measurements and the requirements and try to make them work for the space. Architecture involves a lot of back-and-forth, and that’s what our days look like here. We talk to people, we draw things, and we change them again until they make sense. It’s a lot of trial and error until things look right on the screen. Being on the second floor gives us a bit of a view, which is nice when you need a break from looking at the computer. It’s just a regular local business trying to do honest work.
