Yathish Ullal

You can find my place at Survey No - 2/120C in Sougandha, which is near the Haleyangadi Post in South Kanara. I go by Yathish Ullal and I run this operation myself. It is not a massive factory or anything like that. It is more of a personal setup where I handle the orders and the stock. I have lived in this district for most of my life, so I know the area and the people quite well. The coastal weather here can be a bit of a problem because of the high humidity and the heavy rains we get. I have to stay on top of things to make sure the materials stay in good condition. I don't have a big staff, though sometimes my nephew comes over to help me when there is a lot of heavy lifting to do. We don't have a fancy showroom for people to visit. It is just a yard where I keep everything organized the best I can. I’ve watched this neighborhood change a lot over the years, but the need for good building materials stays the same. I prefer to keep things quiet and avoid the stress of big business. Most of my customers are locals who have known me for a long time. If you are coming from the main road, it is a quick drive to get to the survey plot.
