Vijay Steel Tubes & Fitting Pvt Ltd is based down in Mangalore, specifically at the Gate House in Uchil Someshwar. It’s a coastal area, so we deal with the humidity and the salt in the air every day. The building is right there near the gate, making it easy for the trucks to come in and out. We handle a lot of tubes and all kinds of fittings. Our warehouse is usually pretty packed with inventory. We don't have a big corporate office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s a practical space meant for moving heavy items. Some days it gets incredibly hot, and the fans in the warehouse don't do much, but we keep at it. We’ve got a small crew that knows where everything is kept. If someone needs a certain fitting, we can usually find it pretty fast. The rain in Mangalore can be really heavy, sometimes it pours for days and we have to be careful about the stock getting wet. We spend a lot of time checking the lists and making sure the right tubes go to the right people. It’s a straightforward way to make a living. We’ve been at this Someshwar location for a long time now, so we are part of the scenery. We don't use fancy talk or try to impress anyone. We just focus on the pipes and fittings that come through our doors.
