We are based over in Surathkal, which is a bit of a distance from the main Mangalore city hub. Being near the coast means it is usually humid, so the fans are always spinning in the office. We do tech info work here, which involves a lot of time spent in front of computer screens. The office is tucked away in a spot that isn't too noisy, which is good for concentrating on the data. Most of us who work here grew up in Karnataka, so we are used to the pace of life in this part of the world. It’s not a huge tech campus like you might find in Bangalore; it’s just a small, local setup where we handle information services. There’s a small lunchroom where we all sit together and eat homemade tiffins. Sometimes we walk down the road to get some fresh air when the work gets a bit repetitive. The building is simple and doesn't have much in the way of signs, but people in the neighborhood know where we are. We have a few rows of desks and some old servers that hum in the background all day. It’s a steady environment where we just focus on the tasks at hand. Nothing too flashy happens here, we just make sure the tech side of things stays up and running for the people who rely on us. It is a quiet existence but we like it that way and the people we work with every day.
