Shri Ram Sarup Rice Mills

Shri Ram Sarup Rice Mills is a family-run operation out in Village Dulladi, right on Malerkotla Road. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. The mill is a big part of our lives. When the season starts, the whole village seems to wake up. We get trucks and carts lined up all the way down the road. It’s a lot of noise and a lot of movement. Inside the mill, we have the dryers and the hullers going non-stop. We don't have any corporate polish here. It’s just a place where work gets done. My clothes always smell like toasted rice at the end of the day. We have a few rooms for storage that are almost always full. We handle the rice as it comes from the farmers nearby. It’s a simple process but it requires a lot of attention. You have to watch the machines to make sure they aren't crushing the grains. We’ve had the same people working here for years, and we all just know what needs to be done. We don't go in for fancy advertising. Most people around here just know who we are. It’s a practical, rural business. We just try to keep the mill running smooth and handle the harvest as it comes. It’s a good life, even if it is a bit dusty and loud sometimes. We just keep at it.
