About Shri Radhey Sham Rice Mill – Food & Beverages in Malerkotla
If you follow the Malerkotla Road into Village Dulladi, you will eventually run into Shri Radhey Sham Rice Mill. We are set back a little from the main road, which is good because it gives the trucks a place to park while they wait. The building is made of brick and corrugated metal, and it gets quite warm inside during the summer months. We have a few big fans, but they mostly just move the hot air around. Our work is pretty much dictated by the sun. We start when it comes up and try to finish before it gets too dark to see what we’re doing. We don’t have a lot of high-tech gadgets here. We rely on our eyes and hands to tell us if the rice is being processed the right way. There is a small chai shop at the corner where we get our tea, and usually, the news of the village travels from there to us. We’ve had the same workers for a long time, so we all know how to work together without saying much. It’s a simple way of life on Malerkotla Road. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We are just a local mill doing what we've always done in Dulladi. Sometimes the harvest is great and sometimes it isn't, but we are always here ready to start the day.
