Shri Ganga Rice Mills

Our place is out in Village Dulladi, just off the Malerkotla Road. If you are driving that way, you can’t miss the turn by the old tree. Shri Ganga Rice Mills has been part of this spot for a long time. It’s quiet out here compared to the city, but during harvest time, everything changes. The road gets crowded with carts and tractors. We spend a lot of time just keeping the equipment clean and making sure the storage sheds are dry. It's a lot of manual labor, honestly. Lifting heavy bags, stacking them, and checking the moisture in the grains. We don't have a big office or anything like that. Just a desk with some old ledgers and a fan that squeaks a bit. My father started this, and we’ve kept the same walls and the same gates. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait, but that’s just life in the village. We talk to the neighbors, help out when a truck gets stuck in the mud, and keep the mill running. There’s no secret to what we do. We just take the paddy and process it. It’s basic work but it’s what we know. People from around Malerkotla know where to find us. We don't spend money on ads. Word of mouth is usually enough. It's a simple life at the mill. We finish our work, lock up the big doors, and head home to eat dinner with the family.
