Delhi Rice Mills

We have been here on Malerkotla Road for quite some time now. In Village Dulladi, everyone knows where the mill is. It is not a fancy place, just a workspace where we get things done. Most days start very early because the trucks come in when the air is still cool. You can hear the machinery humming from the street. It is a bit loud and dusty, but that is just how rice milling works. We handle the local crops that come from the fields around here. There is usually a layer of fine dust on the windows by noon. Sometimes the power goes out and everything goes quiet, which gives us a chance to sit outside for a bit. We keep the floor swept as much as we can, though it is a constant battle. People stop by to check on their loads or just to talk about the weather and the harvest. The building itself has seen better days, but it holds up. We have a small office area where the ledgers stay, though most of the real work happens out back near the hoppers. It is a simple life here in Dulladi. We just focus on the grain and making sure the bags are filled right. There is no point in complicating things when the work is right in front of you. We stay busy through the seasons and try to keep the machines running smooth. We are just local people doing our jobs every day without much fuss.
