Arif Khan

Being right near the Malda Railway Station means there is always noise and people moving around. My name is Arif Khan, and I’ve set up shop right opposite the Sate Bank Of India here in the Malda district. It’s a busy spot, which is exactly why I picked it. You get all sorts of people coming through from the trains or people just heading to the bank. The building isn't brand new, and the paint might be peeling a bit in the corners, but it works for what I need. I spend a lot of time just watching the crowds while I work. It’s a very local way of doing things. I don’t have a big staff or a corporate manual to follow. If something needs fixing, I usually just do it myself or ask a friend to help out. Living and working in Malda has its ups and downs, but being near the station keeps things interesting. You never know who’s going to walk through the door next. I try to keep things straightforward for everyone who stops by. There’s no need for complicated systems here. Just a simple desk and a place to talk. It gets a bit crowded during the afternoon rush, but that’s just how it goes in this part of town. I’m usually here from early morning until the sun goes down, just handling things as they come. It is what it is.
