Aktar Enterprise

We have our shop set up in Kaliachak, right near the local police station. It is a familiar spot for most people in the area. We call it Aktar Enterprise, but it is really just a simple local business where we trade in various goods that people need for their daily lives. The shop itself is not very large, and we keep most of the stock stacked up against the walls where it is easy to reach. Being near the police station means there is always a bit of activity around, with people coming and going all day long. We don't have any big flashy signs or modern decorations. The floor is just plain concrete and the shelves are made of simple wood. We usually open up early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool, and we stay open until the evening rush is over. It is a lot of talking to neighbors and regular customers who have been coming to us for years. We don't use computers for much; most of our accounts are kept in thick paper registers. It can get quite dusty when the wind picks up, and in the monsoon, we have to be careful about the rain coming in through the front. It is a basic way to live and work, but it keeps us connected to the community here. We just do our best to stay organized and helpful.
