Jilal Builidng Material

We have been sitting here at Building No. 12/76 on Kuchhipuram Road for quite some time now. Dealing with building materials like we do means there is always a layer of dust on the desk by noon. It is just how it is. Most days start early before the sun gets too hot because unloading trucks is hard work. Jilal Building Material isn't a fancy place with air conditioning or a big lobby. It’s just a spot where people come when they need to get a project finished. Sometimes the traffic on the road gets backed up and we just watch the cars go by while we wait for the next delivery. People around here know us because we’ve been in the same spot for a while. It’s a lot of lifting and counting bricks or bags. My back usually aches by five o'clock but that is part of the job. We don’t have any big speeches to give about what we do. We just open the doors, move the stock, and talk to the regulars who stop in. Most of the guys who work here live nearby so we all know the shortcuts around the district. If you look for the building number you will find us easily enough. The sign is a bit faded from the sun but we are still here doing the same thing every day. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy enough.
