Gomti Educational Foundation

Gomti Educational Foundation is based in Mainpuri, right in the Dariwa area near Choki 315. Being near the police outpost makes it easy to give people directions when they are coming to see us for the first time. We have a modest setup here that reflects the local spirit of the town. Our work revolves around education in the community, and we spend most of our time organizing programs or helping local families understand their options. The building isn't anything special, just a solid place where we can keep our books and hold meetings. Mainpuri can be a quiet place, but we stay busy with the foundation's needs. We don't have a big budget for fancy furniture, so we use what we have and keep it clean. You’ll often find us sitting around a wooden table talking about how to get more supplies or better space for the kids. It’s a grassroots kind of thing. We know most of the people on our street and they know us. The daily rhythm involves opening up the doors, sweeping the front, and getting to work on the files. We don’t have a mission statement on the wall, just a calendar and some photos of the events we’ve done over the years. It’s honest work that keeps us connected to the people around us. We are just a part of the neighborhood, doing our bit.
