H K Packaging

H K Packaging is situated in Ubkhal GIDC in Kukarwada. Being in a GIDC area means we are surrounded by other factories and warehouses. It’s a very industrial environment. We focus on packaging materials. If you need boxes or wraps, that’s what we do here. The facility is mostly a large open space filled with machines and stacks of cardboard. It’s not the cleanest or quietest place to work, but it’s where we get things done. We have a small team of workers from around Kukarwada who come in every morning. We don’t have a big corporate office or a board of directors. It’s just the owner and a few staff members making sure the machines are running and the orders are going out on the trucks. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to fix them ourselves, which can be a bit of a mess. The weather gets really hot in this part of Gujarat, so the afternoons can be pretty tough inside the warehouse. We don’t have air conditioning, just some large fans that move the air around. We’ve been in Ubkhal for a few years now and have built up a steady routine. We aren't looking for awards or anything. We just want to provide the packaging that local businesses need to ship their goods. It’s basic, honest work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We just stay focused on the cardboard.
