Prem Stone

Out here in Village Atholi, we run Prem Stone. We’re located near the Anand Para Chowk, not too far from the Bhoring post office. It’s a quiet enough area until the saws start running. We spend our days cutting and sorting stones for whoever needs them. It’s a basic operation. We don't have fancy brochures or a sales team. Usually, it's just me or one of the guys handling the inquiries. People drive down the local roads to find us when they’re building something new. The work is heavy and we’re often covered in stone dust by noon. That’s just part of the job. We try to keep the yard organized so we can find things quickly, but it’s a constant battle. Sometimes we have to wait on deliveries or the power goes out, which slows things down. But we’ve been doing this in this taluka for a while, so we’re used to the ups and downs. We aren't looking to expand into some massive company. We just want to provide honest materials to the people nearby. It’s a simple life. We work while it's light out and then close up. If you're passing by the chowk, you'll see our stacks of stone waiting for the next truck to arrive. We don't really do anything else besides this. It keeps us busy enough.
