Working out of Mig-2, 162/A in the Housing Board Colony is quite different from being in a commercial hub. It feels more like a home than a business spot, which suits the way I do things. The street is usually full of kids playing or people heading to the market. I’ve set up my desk near the front so I can see who is coming and going. The building itself is older, with that solid construction you don’t see as much anymore. I spend a lot of time on the phone or writing things down in my ledger. There isn’t a fancy lobby or a receptionist here. If you knock on the door, I’m the one who answers it. My filing system is mostly just stacks of paper that I understand, even if they look a bit messy to anyone else. Sometimes the neighborhood dogs bark at the delivery guys, which makes it hard to hear on a call for a second. I like being part of the colony because everything feels more personal and less rushed. I usually start my day with a cup of coffee and a look at the to-do list I wrote the night before. It’s a small operation, just me handling the basics and keeping things moving. The fan on the ceiling wobbles a little when it’s on high, but it keeps the room cool enough during the summer months.
