Golden Medical College

It gets pretty busy here in Veerannapet since the bus stand is just around the corner. You can hear the horns honking all day long while students are trying to focus in the classrooms at Golden Medical College. We have been here in Mahbubnagar for a while now, right in this spot. The building is easy to find if you are coming from the main road. Most of the staff live nearby, so they just walk or take a rickshaw in the mornings. There is always someone at the front desk looking at paperwork or talking to a parent. The students wear their white coats and move between the different floors for their practicals. It is not a quiet place, but that is how it is when you are near the center of town. Sometimes the electricity goes off for a bit, and we just wait for the generator to kick in so the fans start spinning again. The walls have a few posters about anatomy, and the labs are filled with jars and equipment that everyone has to share. We do not have fancy gardens, just a bit of paved space where people stand and talk during the breaks. It is a practical place for learning. People come from all over Telangana to study here, so you hear different accents in the hallways. We just keep things moving, making sure the schedules are stuck on the notice board every Monday morning for everyone to take a look.
