Kunji Export & Import

Our place is in the Kannan Complex, right on the Madurai-Mandapam Main Road in Thiruppuvanam. Being on the main road makes it easy for the transport trucks to find us, which is a big help. We’ve been running Kunji Export & Import from this office for a few years now. It’s just a standard room in the complex, nothing too special to look at. We do both sides of the business, bringing stuff in and sending stuff out. It keeps the day interesting because you never know what the next container will have. The traffic on the Madurai-Mandapam road is always moving fast, so it gets quite loud during the day. We have a small desk for the accounts and some space in the back for the samples. Most of the time, I’m on the phone with suppliers or down at the warehouse checking the latest arrivals. Thiruppuvanam is a good place to be based because it’s a hub for so many different goods. We get a lot of people just dropping in to ask about prices or shipping times. We don't have a big marketing budget or a website that looks like it belongs to a big corporation. We just focus on the actual work of moving the cargo. It's a bit dusty and the fan in the office makes a clicking noise, but it works for us. We just want to get the job done and go home to our families. It’s been a steady life so far and we like it.
