Chandru Import & Export Ltd. is located right on Yagappa Nagar Main Road, at number 5/1034-a. Being on the main road means there’s always something going on outside our door. The noise of the buses and bikes is something you just get used to after a week or two. Our office isn't very large, but it’s enough for the few of us who work here. We spend our hours coordinating between different suppliers and the shipping agents. It’s a lot of back-and-forth on the phone and via email. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit and wait, which gives us a chance to catch up on local gossip. We don’t have a marketing department or any fancy brochures. What you see is what you get with us. We just try to keep things organized and make sure we don't lose any paperwork in the piles on our desks. The Yagappa Nagar area is a good spot for us because it’s easy for people to find. We’ve got a small sign out front that’s a little faded from the sun. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves and old filing cabinets. We focus on getting the imports and exports through without too much fuss. It’s a basic business model that has worked for us over the years. We aren't trying to change the world; we’re just trying to do a good job and keep things moving. It's a simple life.
