Down at Vandiur, on 12th Street in Sourastrapuram, you’ll find Excellent Exports & Imports Services. Our address is 5/1839. It’s a bit of a residential patch, so the vibe is quite relaxed compared to the main city areas. We work out of this small office that we’ve made quite comfortable over the years. There are trees on the street which give a bit of shade. Our day-to-day work isn't too flashy. We spend a lot of time on the computer, tracking containers and making sure the documentation is correct for the customs officers. It’s a lot of detail-oriented work. Sometimes we make mistakes and have to fix them quickly, but that’s human nature. We don’t have a big corporate board or fancy titles. We’re just a small group of people who understand how the import-export world works. Most of our neighbors are regular families, so we try not to be too loud when trucks come by to pick up samples. Vandiur is a nice place to be based. It feels more like a community than a business district. We handle a bit of everything here. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk, other days we are running around until late. We don't have a polished pitch for people. We just do the work and try to keep our word. That’s enough for us to keep going.
