Thirumurugan Store

Thirumurugan Store is located right in the Karupasamy Complex over in Melur. We are on the Trichy Main Road, so there is always a lot of traffic going past the door. Being in Madurai, it gets pretty hot during the day, so we try to keep the shop as cool as possible for whoever walks in. It is a busy area and we have been part of it for a while now. Most of our days are spent checking what came in and what needs to be ordered again. People from all over Melur stop by when they are passing through on the main road. It’s a practical kind of place. We don’t have any big signs or anything too flashy. Just the name on the front and the stuff people need inside. Sometimes the road gets blocked up with trucks or buses, and we just watch the world go by from the front of the complex. It’s a good spot to be because everyone knows the Karupasamy Complex. We keep things pretty simple here. No big corporate rules or anything like that, just me and a couple of others making sure the bags are packed and the change is ready. It takes a lot of work to keep a small store going in a place like Madurai, but we enjoy the chat with the regulars who come in every single morning for their bits and pieces.
