Sakthi Exports

Up at No. 5-6/158-a on the Karaikudi Road in Singampunari, our small team at Sakthi Exports gets to work every morning. It’s a typical roadside building that doesn't stand out much if you are driving by fast. We have some space for storage and a small area where we handle all the paperwork. Singampunari is a place where people still take the time to talk, so we often have locals dropping in just to say hello or ask about the market prices. The work involves a lot of weighing, packing, and checking quality by hand. We don't use many fancy machines; it's mostly manual labor and careful eyes. The Karaikudi Road is a main artery for this area, so we see a lot of transit. Our office setup is pretty basic with just the essentials like a table, a few chairs, and a fan that squeaks a little. We don't put out advertisements or try to sound bigger than we are. We just focus on the exports we have committed to for the month. Sometimes things get hectic when a big order needs to go out, and we all have to stay late to finish the packing. Other times, it’s a bit slower and we catch up on the cleaning or fix things around the shop. It’s just the natural rhythm of a small business in a town like this. We do what we say we will and keep the records straight.
