Ammrish Exports

Our place is in the C. Pappamal Complex over on T. B. Road. Being in a complex means we have neighbors on both sides, and it can get pretty loud with all the different businesses running at once. Our unit at 2/26 is mostly filled with stock and empty boxes. We don't have much room for a proper office, so we just have a small desk tucked in the corner where the phone sits. The walls are a bit bare and the lighting could be a lot better, but it’s where we’ve been working for years. T. B. Road is always busy with heavy trucks and buses, which makes it easy for our shipping but hard to hear yourself think sometimes. We spend the day checking lists and making sure the packing is done right before the sun goes down. There’s no fancy uniform here; we just wear what’s comfortable for moving heavy boxes around. We have a small corner where we keep the water pot and some glasses for guests. Most of our clients just call us on the mobile, so we don't get many visitors anyway. When we do get someone coming by, they usually just have to stand because the chairs are covered in files and samples. It’s a very basic setup. We just worry about getting the goods from point A to point B without any damage. It’s a lot of logistics and repetitive work, but it’s what we know how to do.
