Royal Export

Down in South Street, Vallalapatty, in the Melur area of Madurai, you’ll find Royal Export. We are a bit away from the main city buzz, which is how we like it. The air is a bit clearer here, though the sun can be really hot in the afternoons. Our office is a simple one-room setup mostly. We have a big table where we spread out all the documents when we’re trying to organize a shipment. Melur is a good place to work from because we are close to the producers. We spend a lot of time driving around the local area to check on things before they come to us for exporting. It’s a lot of face-to-face talk with people we’ve known for years. We don't use much fancy technology, just the basics to get the job done. Sometimes we sit outside on the porch when it’s not too hot to discuss the day’s plan. There’s a lot of manual logging involved in what we do. We have to be careful with the details because even a small mistake in the address can cause a lot of trouble later. It’s a slow and steady kind of business. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there; we just want to do our part and go home to our families at the end of the day. It’s a quiet life on South Street, but the work keeps us active.
