RKJI CONSTRUCTION (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED

Down here in Madurai, near the kovil in Kancharampetti, is where you will find RKJI Construction. Our address is 1/45, and it’s a pretty quiet area compared to the city center. Being an OPC means it’s a smaller operation, mostly just me and a few guys I trust to get things done. We do general construction work. It could be a small house repair or something a bit bigger like a boundary wall. In Madurai, the heat is the biggest problem. We have to start early in the morning before the sun gets too high, otherwise, the cement dries too fast and everyone gets worn out. I’ve lived here a long time, so I know the local suppliers and where to get the best bricks. It’s not a fancy office. It’s mostly just a place to store tools and talk to people about what they need built. I don't use a lot of big words or complicated contracts. We just talk about what needs doing and then we do it. Sometimes materials get expensive and we have to figure out a different way, but that’s just part of the job. I like being my own boss, even if it means I’m the one who has to answer the phone at night when there’s a problem. It’s simple work, but it’s honest and people in the village know where to find me if they need something fixed up. It keeps me busy enough.
