Ptr Sweets & Coffee

Ptr Sweets & Coffee is located at number 142 on the Theni Main Road in Madurai. We are right in the P P Chavadi area, specifically near Kaalavasal. If you know Madurai, you know how busy this road can get every day. There are always buses and bikes zooming past, and the noise is just part of our daily routine. We start very early because people in Madurai want their coffee as soon as the sun comes up. The smell of the coffee brewing is the first thing we notice every morning. We also have a selection of sweets in the glass cases. Making those takes a lot of time and patience from the staff. We are just a small team here. Sometimes we get a bit overwhelmed when a big group comes in all at once, and we have to scramble to get everyone their drinks. The shop is not very large, so people often stand around talking while they wait for their order. It is a very local feel, with regulars who have been coming here for many years. We do not have a website or any of that stuff. We just put the sign out and do our best to keep the coffee hot and the sweets fresh. Madurai is a hot city, so by the afternoon, we are all a bit tired, but we keep going until the evening rush is over. It is a simple life selling coffee.
