We are based in Madurai at the Agrini Apartments. Our office is No If3 in the Nirmal Block. Andalpuram is a bustling area. Being inside an apartment complex makes the workspace feel a bit more private and quiet. We handle informatics and data processing, so we spend most of our time in front of our monitors. The office is basically a large room with several desks pushed together. We have a small area for making coffee and keeping our snacks. Madurai gets incredibly hot. We are thankful for the thick walls of the building that keep the heat out a bit. Most of the people working here live in the surrounding neighborhoods. They usually come in on their scooters. We have been in the Nirmal Block for several years and have a good relationship with the building management. It is a very low-key environment. We do not have any corporate slogans or big posters on the walls. We just focus on the spreadsheets and databases that need our attention. Sometimes the elevator in the block breaks down. Then we have to take the stairs, which is not fun in the humidity. But overall, it is a good place to work. We like the local feel of the area and the fact that we can just be ourselves while we get the work done. It is a bit crowded sometimes but we manage just fine.
