We’ve been operating from number 34 on Kasthuribai 1st Street for quite some time now. Melur is a place where everyone kind of knows each other, so we try to keep things friendly and relaxed. Nmk Housing Promoters Private Limited is about as local as it gets. Our office is a simple building in Kasthuribai Nagar, and it’s usually pretty busy with people coming in to talk about house plots or land prices. We don't have any fancy receptionists or big leather chairs. Usually, someone is just sitting there with a register or a hand-drawn map of the latest layout. The street is usually quiet, except for when the school nearby lets out in the afternoon. Promoting housing is mostly about understanding what people are looking for in a home. We spend a lot of time on the ground, literally, walking through fields and measuring out sections with tape. It’s dusty work and can get tiring under the sun. Back at the office, we try to sort out the documents. There are always many papers to sign and files to organize. We’ve had the same old fans spinning for years and the desks have some scratches, but they work fine for us. We prefer it this way. Melur has its own way of doing things, and we fit right into that. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to help people find a decent place to build a house for their family.
